1. shipping & handling
> ordering & shipping: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
the lenses were shipped from korea on september 12, and i got them exactly a week later on september 19! i was very pleased with the quick shipping, as i had been looking forward to them! normally it can take long for stuff to ship from asia, but i was happy that it arrived when they said it would.
> packaging: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
they came in a yellow parcel that was sealed tightly, and the actual box containing the contacts was wrapped safely in bubble wrap.
this is the contact lens box after i unwrapped it. i’m in love with the box art! i’ve seen pictures of klenspop’s boxes before, but it was beautiful in person. the colors are very bright and playful, and i think it suits the image of the site! i like how klenspop has their own packaging, because you can see how much effort they put into establishing their name. from what i know they have several different versions of their product boxes, so it would be fun to collect them! 🙂
inside the box was the contact lens vials, a free contact lens case, and plastic tweezers! not many sites send you free tweezers; in fact i think klenspop may be the only one if not one of only a few!
2. circle lenses
> comfort: ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
personally, these lenses were not very comfortable. my eyes tend to be more on the dry side when it comes to contacts, and after just a few hours my eyes would feel terribly dry! i was able to wear my first ever pair of circle lenses / contacts in general (geolica lenses, not from klenspop) at ax 2016 for basically the entire day with slight but bearable discomfort with the help of eyedrops. although this is only my second ever pair of contacts, even eyedrops would not ease the discomfort of how dry my eyes felt! the comfort would only be for a short time, and then my eyes would feel dry again. it may be okay for some people, but these lenses were not very comfortable for me.
> color: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
i had always wanted gray lenses, and just looking at the lenses from the vial i was afraid that the color would not show because the color on the lenses seemed to be light. however, i was surprised to see that the color showed pretty well on my very dark brown eyes! the lenses lean more towards a dark gray, but it is a visible yet natural-looking shade. it makes your eyes pop in a way that doesn’t look scary at all compared to some other gray lenses!
> enlargement: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
i always try to aim for lenses with a smaller diameter because they are easier to put in (i am a contact lens newbie and it is still difficult for me to quickly put contacts in). although these lenses are only 14mm, which is considered to be more on the small side in the world of circle lenses, these lenses actually provide a good amount of enlargement! they don’t make your eyes too large, but it does make your eyes bigger to a certain extent. very natural!
SO IN GENERAL…
